Diet and Allergy
While our menu cannot accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies, it is still important for you to share that information with us. Our menu may shift depending on season and availability and doing so allows us to inform you of relevant changes.
Finding Tan\u00e1m
We're tucked away in a courtyard behind Union Tavern at 345 Somerville Ave, Union Square, with a walkway to the left of the bar. Our space is on the first floor, under the stairs on the left side. Please be aware that 1 Bow Street will lead you to a Goodyear Tire store. Please make time for travel as construction and limited street parking may delay you.
Seating Together
We require the entirety of your party to be in attendance in order to be seated. To ensure the safest possible flow of guests and service, seating guests will be staggered; we ask that your party arrive to Bow Market prior to your reserved seating to use the restroom. If your party is not ready to be seated, we will only be able to seat you once there is a pause in service.
COVID 19 Questionnaire
All guests will be temperature checked, and prompted to answer questions regarding COVID 19 exposure. Your health and our health is most important to us. If you are not feeling well, or think you may have been exposed to COVID 19, please contact us at whatsgood@tanam.co or during open hours at 617-669-2144 as soon as possible. If you or a guest in your party is uncertain or unable to answer the questionnaire, we reserve the right to refuse service to your party.
Size of Space
Our space has been customized in accordance with the City of Somerville\u2019s Phase 2 mandates. Please do not rearrange tables or chairs. As dinner and drinks are being served, or tables being wiped, we require full cooperation - allow room for staff to pass, and please keep your masks on while servers are taking care of you. Thank you for understanding.
Accessibility and Environment
A low-grade ramp leads to our space, and chairs and tables can be adjusted with advance notice in accordance with Phase 2 mandates. Elevators can be found in the communal lobby space, suite 1, identifiable by the lintel above the double doors reading \"Bow Market.\" Due to City regulations, restrooms are marked \u201cMen\u201d on the lower level, and \u201cWomen\u201d on the upper level (accessible by elevator and stairs). Please note that we do not allow pets within our patio space.
Parking
Metered parking can be found immediately in front of Bow Market, and free two-hour street parking exists on Bow Street and along Somerville Ave in front of Market Basket. There are no parking garages near Union Square and we do not offer valet. Parking has become more limited in order to increase the outdoor dining capacity of our neighbors.
Bathrooms
Due to the small size of many of the establishments at Bow Market, all bathrooms may be found in the communal lobby space, suite 1, identifiable by the lintel above the double doors reading \"Bow Market.\" Due to City regulations, restrooms are marked \u201cMen\u201d on the lower level, and \u201cWomen\u201d on the upper level (accessible by elevator and stairs). Stalls and urinals are available downstairs, and stalls only upstairs. Only two guests may enter the restrooms at any time.
Contactless Pay and Cash
All additional purchases may only be made through your phone. If you are experiencing issues, please ask one of our staff for assistance and we will do our best to assist you. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept other forms of payment at this time, including cash.
