Halloween the Daffy's Way 🐽
Way back when - even before Richard Corrigan graced the plains of Co. Meath, Ireland, the origins of Halloween date back to a high hill top in the mists of ancient Ireland.
The Hill of Ward, a stones throw from Chef Corrigan's hometown, was the base for a fierce Celtic bonfire and feast festival called Samhain. Marking the night when the veil between this world and the world of the dead was at its thinnest, bonfires were lit to honour spirits crossing over, fuelled by the bones of livestock.
A good a reason as any to celebrate at Daffy's - we're putting on a real feast of fire, with whole suckling pigs thrown into our fire, and served up to ye hungry revellers with black pudding and apple stuffing, grilled pumpkin, pear and roast potatoes.
Very limited amounts available, first come first serve, must be preordered in advance. We recommend this for 6-8 people, but we don't judge.
